History
Ghielmetti was set up in 1912. The headquarter is in Biberist Switzerland and a sales office for the German market is situated in Luckenwalde, to the south of Berlin in Germany. Ghielmetti has a worldwide agent and distribution partner network. The company is deemed to be a pioneer in the line with its over 100 years experience. In 2012 we celebrated Ghielmettis centenary jubilee. Famous as a customer-centred company Ghielmetti realises products and solutions "Swiss Made by Ghielmetti" for its customers dayly and is one of the worldwide leading suppliers of customised solutions as well as standard equipment, systems and service. 1912 Set up of the company, GHIELMETTI & Cie in Bern by Franz Ghielmetti and Emil Zbinden.
Production of Time Switches.
1924 Set up of GHIELMETTI & Cie in Solothurn, at Wassergasse 2 (later on Biberiststrasse 24)

2021 On 13th September Ghielmetti AG is declared bankrupt. One month later, on 14.10.2021 some former, longstanding employees, among them also the Future Managing Director Carmelo Risuscitazione found the new company GHIELMETTI Solutions AG and restart production of world famous Ghielmetti Patch Panels & Matrix Boards.
